Here are the top three stories in Mountain Brook today:
- A new restaurant, Real & Rosemary, just opened its third location in Crestline. The other two locations are in Homewood and Summit. It's centered around the concept of community and is meant to feel like an "extension of your home" according to husband and wife owners Jennifer and Nate Carlson. (Mountain Brook Magazine)
- Alabama's unemployment rate remains at the low level of 2.6 percent – that's lower than the national average of 3.6 percent. Shelby County south of Mountain Brook has the lowest in the state at 2.1 percent. (WVTM 13)
- With the Libertarian Party returning to the ballot across the state in Alabama's November elections, some people are hoping for voting reforms that would make it easier for smaller parties in the state to compete. Currently it needs at least 20 percent of the vote share to remain on the ballot. (AL.com)
