  1. Construction work on Red Mountain Expressway is likely to continue on for the next several months, depending on the weather. The road now needs to be repaved, either this fall or next spring. for some residents the work seems to have been going on 'forever.' (WVTM 13)
  2. The Junior League of Birmingham is hosting its 17th annual Shop Save & Share fundraiser starting on Sept. 28. The sale features 20 percent off discounts at 250 participating stores in the area, benefiting the Junior League’s 21 community projects. (Village Living)
  3. Little London Kitchen, a restaurant in Homewood specializing in British food and featuring a double-decker bus, is temporarily closing its doors, citing staffing shortages as the reason. The restaurant was recently featured in a Bham Now story about how the greater Birmingham community is reacting to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. (CBS 42)
