- The Mountain Brook High School football team lost to Saraland 17-38 in this year's championship game in Auburn. Despite the outcome not turning out how they would have preferred, players are still excited to have reached the state championship for the first time since 1996. Senior linebacker Vaughn Frost shared, "I’ve dreamed about something like this since I was 5 or 6 years old." (Village Living)
- Friends and family of Megan Montgomery held the first 'Gingerbread Jam' this weekend. Montgomery was found shot dead on Mountain Brook High School's campus in 2019. The family has since then formed the Megan Montgomery Foundation, which raises funds for healthy relationship education. (WVTM13 Birmingham)
- Kathy G. Mezrano, a Birmingham caterer who runs the Gardens Café at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, is sharing her tips for how to be present food at holiday parties this season–from a charcuterie board to which types of greenery to use as decoration. (Over The Mountain Journal)
