  1. It's snake season in the Birmingham metro area. According to expert snake catchers, Mountain Brook has an overabundance of copperheads. Other common species are rat snakes and timber rattlesnakes. The experts say the snakes are just as scared of you as you are of them. They recommend cutting down weeds and trimming bushes as a preventative measure to eliminate the snakes' hiding places. (WBRC)
  2. Mountain Brook High School's boys soccer team scored its first statewide title in history on Saturday. According to reports, the magic touch came from player Vance Phillips’ "golden goal." (AL.com)
  3. Police are investigating the death of a man, Justin Snow, 38, from Warrior, Alabama who was shot while driving on I-59 in Birmingham at approximately 8 p.m. on Saturday night. As of press time no suspects were identified or in custody. (WBRC 6)
