Spartans Keep No. 5 Ranking After Win Over Huntsville

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL — Another win over a 7A opponent has Mountain Brook's football team at 2-0 to start the season. The Spartans' 38-7 win over Huntsville Friday has them ranked no. 5 in the latest Alabama Sports Writers Association 6A poll.

Wins by all of the 6A teams ahead of Mountain Brook in the poll kept the Spartans from moving up, but with regional play beginning for Mountain Brook, this might change in the coming weeks.

Mountain Brook takes on Woodlawn at home Thursday night.
