  1. A student made a threat to Vestavia Hills High School by phone last week, according to an email sent out by Superintendent Todd Freeman. The student's identity is currently not being disclosed, and the Vestavia Hills Police Department said no weapons were found. (AL.com)
  2. If you hear loud noises in or near Cahaba Heights from now through Dec. 2, it might be because the police department is conducting trainings that include the use of firearms. (Mountain Brook Police Department via Facebook)
  3. A woman is dead after a fatal car crash on Crestwood Boulevard near Oporto Madrid Boulevard on Monday afternoon, Birmingham police said. The crash also injured two other people. (AL.com)
