Where To Find Christmas Trees In 2021 In The Mountain Brook Area

MOUNTAIN BROOK, AL— As the nation recovers from the coronavirus pandemic and looks back on the hardship of last year’s holiday season — which involved a lot of social distancing — families in 2021 will reunite and hunt for the right Christmas tree this year.

Some 350 million are growing in all 50 U.S. states, and at least 25 million of them are cut and sold each year.

The American Christmas Tree Association advises shoppers to get a tree earlier than usual this year. The supply of trees will be tight due to supply chain delays and a poor growing season in the Pacific Northwest.

If a real Christmas tree is on your wish list this season, here is a selection of some of our favorite Christmas tree farms near Mountain Brook:

• Murphy's Christmas Tree Farms; 7209 Mill Way, Tuscaloosa: Murphy's Christmas Tree Farms will open on Nov 30. They will be open Monday through Friday from 3 p.m. to dark, Saturday from 10 a.m. to dark and Sunday from 1 p.m. to dark.
• Old Baker Farm; 184 Furrow Lane, Harpersville: Old Baker Tree Farm is open the day after Thanksgiving through Dec 24. Open 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to dark.
• Pine Hill Farms; 538 Pinehill Circle, Birmingham: Open most days from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. While you are there, take a tour of the farm or watch a live blacksmith. Pine Hill Farms is also pet friendly.
• Beavers Christmas Tree Farm; 10093 Bradford Trafford Rd., Trafford: Beavers is open Friday through Monday 9am to dark. Hay rides and food are available on Saturdays and Sundays.
• Clear Creek Christmas Trees; 1201 Lamon Chapel Rd, .Jasper: Open the day after Thanksgiving from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Also open Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
