- A woman who had escaped police custody several weeks ago in Tarrant was apprehended on Tuesday, authorities say. She had several outstanding warrants, and will be held without bond. (ABC 3340)
- See it: Birmingham's Legion Field is installing upgrades in preparation for the World Games this summer, which will take place in July. Upgrades include new lighting and signage on the bleachers. (WVTM 13)
- Alabama is gearing up to give school teachers four percent raises, with higher minimum salaries depending on how many years of experience they have. Jefferson County is one of the school districts where teachers on average are paid more than the minimum wage. Districts across the state are competing to remain competitive amid a system-wide teacher shortage. (AL.com)
