Arrest Made In February PNC Bank Robbery

Police have arrested a man in connection with a bank robbery Feb. 23 on Parkway East.

BIRMINGHAM, AL — A 40-year-old Birmingham man has been arrested in connection with a bank robbery that occurred Feb. 23 at a PNC Bank branch on Parkway East. Tellis Tremaine Porterfield was arrested Wednesday.

Porterfield is accused of entering the bank branch at 9648 Parkway East and handing a note to the teller demanding money. He reportedly then left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Porterfield was released on $60,000 bond.
