🌱 Cahaba River Court Case + Roadblock On I-59

Good day, people of Trussville! Michael Seale here with a fresh Trussville Daily. Those of you who enjoy the beauty of the Cahaba River will be pleased to know that the Alabama Supreme Court handed down a ruling recently siding with conservation groups against the Birmingham Water Works Board. Also in the news, the Alabama Department of Transportation will conduct pavement repair operations on I-59 northbound and southbound in Birmingham this week between 1st Avenue North and 4th Avenue South. - As I mentioned earlier, Cahaba Riverkeeper, Cahaba River Society and Southern Environmental Law Center claimed the Birmingham Water Works Board violated a 2001 settlement designed to conserve the Cahaba River Watershed. (Trussville Patch)
