TRUSSVILLE, AL — Wednesday night's storms caused major flooding throughout Jefferson County and resulted in multiple downed power lines, which caused the cancellation of several school bus routes in Trussville. A Trussville Tribune report said at least one school in the city lost power.

A release from Trussville City Schools said the north bound lane of North Chalkville is currently blocked while crews work on the power equipment. Multiple homes were without power in the area.

Power was also out at Cahaba Elementary School, but was restored just before 8 a.m. Thursday, the Trussville Tribune said.
