Hewitt-Trussville Junior Hunter Osborne Has Over 40 Div. I Offers
The 4-star defensive end received offers from Oklahoma, LSU, Oregon and USC this week. Some believe Alabama could offer soon.

TRUSSVILLE, AL —Hewitt-Trussville junior football star Hunter Osborne has over 40 offers to play Division I football—including from some of the top programs in the country. He's also got his own logo on social media.
What the 6-foot-4, 250-pound end rusher does not have, at least not yet, is an offer from the University of Alabama. Though some recruiting experts believe that could be coming soon.
In the past week, Osborne has received offers from Oklahoma, LSU, Oregon, USC, North Carolina, Toledo and Prairie View A&M, according to his Twitter account.

The Oklahoma offer actually is re-offer since Osborne initially was offered when head coach Lincoln Riley was in charge. Riley departed for USC, but new coach Brent Venables extended another offer to Osborne.
Earlier this week, Jerry Crabtree, a senior recruiting editor for On3.com, reported that insiders believed Oklahoma had been at the top of Osborne's list when the Huskies defender visited Norman, Oklahoma in November.

However, Osborne said he was stunned when Riley announced his departure from the Sooners in late November.
"My jaw dropped," Osborne told On3.com after he heard the news. "I'm shocked. That's huge."
According to On3.com, Alabama has recruited Osborne heavily, though the Crimson Tide have not offered. Osborne is scheduled to take an unofficial visit to Tuscaloosa on Jan. 22, according to sources.
"(Osborne) has yet to receive an Alabama offer, but it would not be surprising if one came soon, especially since he's a top local prospect and the national programs, like OU, continue to flood him with attention and offers," Crabtree wrote.
There certainly is a lot to like about Osborne.
This past season, he had 74 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, 16 quarterback pressures and nine pass breakups for a Hewitt-Trussville team that went 9-3 and lost to Hoover 24-23 in overtime in the second round of the AHSAA playoffs.
Osborne is considered a 4-star recruit and is ranked as the No. 127 player in the country, No. 19 defensive lineman in the nation and No. 12 player in Alabama according to On3.com.
