Man Killed In Shooting At Center Point Convenience Store
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office made an arrest in a fatal shooting Saturday at a Center Point convenience store.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A man was shot and killed Saturday night at the A&A Convenience Store at 1100 Center Point Parkway. The incident occurred around 10 p.m., and Jefferson County investigators have made an arrest in the case.
Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said an altercation inside the store led to the shooting. The victim, identified as 30-year-old Deandre Antone Carter, was taken to UAB Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office arrested 33-year-old Wallderrick Pierce Carson Sunday and charged him with murder. Carson was booked into the Jefferson County Jail Sunday afternoon. His bond is set at $50,000.
