• Get to know: Hewitt Trussville High School teacher Amber Benson (cahabasun.com) — A longtime educator who lives and serves in Trussville is now in her fifth year teaching at Hewitt-Trussville High School, working with juniors and seniors in the Business Leadership Academy. She loves helping students build confidence in school and the community, hopes they recognize their own value, and even has a fun claim to fame as a three-time national clogging champion. 
• Former Tennessee Cornerback Staying In SEC, On Vols' 2026 Schedule (rockytopinsider.com) — A Trussville native, cornerback Rickey Gibson III, is transferring from Tennessee to Texas A&M, keeping him in the SEC and on the Vols’ 2026 schedule. After a strong 2024 season but an injury-shortened 2025, he’ll get a fresh start in College Station while Tennessee moves forward with Auburn transfer Kayin Lee at cornerback.
