Sheriff's Deputy Stops Burglary In Progress
A Jefferson County Sheriff's stopped a burglary Friday night at a store on Chalkville Mountain Road.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A Jefferson County Sheriff's deputy stopped a burglary in progress early Saturday morning. The incident occurred just before 3 a.m. at a business on Chalkville Mountain Road.
The deputy was on patrol when he hard glass breaking near a local business, according to Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. When the deputy arrived at the store, he discovered the glass had been broken out of the storefront and located 36-year-old Darius Davison inside the store with a large trash can full of cigarettes.
Davison was arrested and charged with burglary. He is in custody at the Jefferson County Jail with a $7,500 bond.
