  1. St. Clair County Correctional Facility near Springville is the fifth men’s prison listed for shutdown in the bill lawmakers are considering during a special session that started Monday. (AL.com)
  2. A new employee incentive program was approved by the Argo City Council Monday. The incentive would be given to the city employees around the last week in November. (Trussville Patch)
  3. The City of Birmingham is expected to launch a pilot program to start bringing the lights back on to parts of I-59/20. The city is looking to spend about $2 million to put in almost 400 LED lights. (WBRC)
  4. Pinson’s 16th Annual Alabama Butterbean Festival is back in town Friday and Saturday. (Trussvilletribune)
