Trussville Schools To Close Early For Huskies Playoff Game
Hewitt-Trussville High School travels to Madison Friday to play Bob Jones in the first round of the AHSAA football playoffs.
TRUSSVILLE, AL — Trussville City Schools announced that schools will dismiss early Friday ahead of the Hewitt-Trussville High School football game against Bob Jones in Madison. The elementary and middle schools will close at 1 p.m. and the high school will close at 1:15 p.m., according to a Trussville Tribune report.
The decision to dismiss early was reached after an attempt to secure charter buses was unsuccessful, according to the Tribune report. School buses that would have been used for students after school are being used to transport players, staff, band members and cheerleaders to Madison for the game, which kicks off at 7 p.m.
