Woman Arrested After Fatal Stabbing In Center Point

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — A man was stabbed to death Sunday night in Center Point, and a woman has been charged with murder as a result. The incident occurred just before 6 p.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of Charter East Circle.

Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said the victim, a 39-year-old man, had multiple stab wounds to the chest and was taken to St. Vincent's East Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

A woman with whom the victim was in a relationship was arrested at the scene and taken to the Jefferson County Jail in Birmingham. Her identity has not been released, pending notification of the victim’s next of kin.
