Wreck On Pinson Valley Parkway Results In Fatality

A 59-year-old man died in a wreck on Pinson Valley Parkway Wednesday afternoon.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL — The driver of a Jimmie Hale Mission van was killed in a wreck involving an 18-wheeler. The wreck occurred Wednesday afternoon on Pinson Valley Parkway.

Sgt. Joni Money of the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said the van ran into the back end of the 18-wheeler, flat bed trailer. Both were traveling in the southbound lanes of the parkway.

The 59-year-old driver of the van was pronounced dead on the scene.
