3 Vestavia Hills Educators Receive Doctorate Degrees

The Board of Education honored one principal and two assistant principals who recently earned doctorate degrees from Samford University.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — Three Vestavia Hills school administrators recently earned doctoral degrees from Samford University, and the Vestavia Hills Board of Education recognized them during its meeting last week.

Dr. Jason Bostic, assistant principal of Louis Pizitz Middle School; Dr. Amy England, Vestavia Hills High School assistant principal; and Dr. Blair Inabinet, principal of Vestavia Hills Elementary Liberty Park earned doctorates of educational leadership.

All three were honored with plaques at the Board of Education's Nov. 29 meeting.

Bostic and England collaborated on a dissertation titled "A Quantitative Study Focusing on Alabama Public Schools: Do Differences Exist Between Leader Behaviors and Teacher Well-Being in Low and High Socioeconomic Schools?"

Inabinet's dissertation was titled "An Exploratory Collective Case Study of Leadership of Implementation of Effective Character Education Initiatives in Elementary National Schools of Character."
