AHSAA Releases New Classifications for Vestavia Hills
In the Alabama High School Athletic Association's update classification system released on Nov. 30, the Rebels will remain in Class 7A.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — Vestavia Hills High School won't see too many changes in the next two years when it comes to competitive sports. In the Alabama High School Athletic Association's update classification system released on Nov. 30, the Rebels will remain in Class 7A for the 2018-19 and 2019-20 school years.
There were some changes to Region 3 in football, with Hewitt-Trussville moving into the region. Huffman was moved back down to 6A.
In basketball, Vestavia Hills moved into Area 6 alongside Spain Park, Hewitt-Trussville and Mountain Brook.

The Rebels will play in a five-team area similar to basketball with the addition of private school John Carroll.
