Cahaba Heights Native Takes Home Ms. Senior Universe Crown
The pageant was the first to crown a senior woman as Ms. Universe.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — Last week, Vestavia Hills native Donna McGuffie was crowned the first Ms. Senior Universe at the Saxe Theater in Las Vegas. The pageant was the first to crown a senior woman as Ms. Universe.
McGuffie, 66, was raised in Cahaba Heights, though she now lives in Trussville. She comes from a family of Cahaba Heights residents, including her mother and grandmother.
The pageant entailed a week of interviews and talent performances, complete with an evening gown competition. The 15 final contestants were also able to attend the 2017 Miss Universe competition.
