Chopt To Open Vestavia Hills Restaurant In January
The new restaurant is expected to bring 40 jobs to the Vestavia Hills area.
VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — A farm-to-fast-casual restaurant chain based in New York City is set to open its second Birmingham-area restaurant in Jan. 2022.
Specializing in salads with a focus on mindful sourcing, Chopt Creative Salad Company's newest restaurant in Vestavia Hills will be located at 708 Montgomery Hwy., Suite 108 in Vestavia Hills, the company recently announced.
The 3,000 square foot restaurant will include a dining room that seats 48 guests, patio seating for 16, and an expansive pick-up shelf featuring a mural with local Vestavia Hills landmark, Sibyl Temple.

“We have truly enjoyed Birmingham and our new neighbors thus far,” Chief Marketing Officer Julie Atkinson said. “We’ve built great relationships, cheers’ed at BirmingFam Fest and collaborated with great businesses and nonprofits… and we’re excited to continue building our community here.”

The newest Chopt location will be the second for the Birmingham area.
Founded in New York City in 2001 by best friends Tony Shure and Colin McCabe, Chopt has expanded to a family of over 60 restaurants in New York, Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, Tennessee, Connecticut, Georgia, Alabama and North Carolina.
