Multifamily Community Planned Near The Summit
A South Carolina developer is moving forward with a new multifamily development after buying property off U.S. 280.
BIRMINGHAM, AL — An apartment community will soon be under construction off U.S. 280 across from The Summit shopping center. A South Carolina developer is moving forward with the new multifamily development after recently purchasing the 6.5-acre property, according to the Birmingham Business Journal.
Greystar is developing the new apartment community, known as "Overture Vestavia," for active adults 55 years and older at 3171 U.S. 280 E. Plans for the 173-unit development include a four-story horseshoe building around a pool as well as two one-story buildings with four units each.
The development is expected to open in 2023.
