VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — Anyone who has been in or driven past a Chick-fil-A restaurant drive-thru line in the Birmingham metro knows they can get long and congested, so owners of the new restaurant in Cahaba Heights have worked with Vestavia police on easing any traffic worries.

The new Chick-fil-A on Crosshaven opened Monday and restaurant officials worked with the VHPD to map out its drive-thru traffic plan:

"It’s opening week, and we’re excited to serve Cahaba Heights and the surrounding area," Chick-fil A officials said via social media Wednesday. "In order to serve you quickly and efficiently, we have partnered with the Vestavia Hills Police Department to develop a proactive traffic management plan. Traffic will be monitored closely and we will adjust as needed. We look forward to serving you and we are honored to join the Cahaba Heights community"
