Part Of Vestavia Hills East Playground Closed For Safety Issue

According to a news report, authorities are trying to find a way to stop golf balls coming over the fence from the country club.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — A portion of the playground at Vestavia Hills Elementary East will be closed Tuesdays through Sundays because of a safety issue related to the Vestavia Country Club, Superintendent Dr. Todd Freeman said in a statement.

According to a news report in abc3340, the playground is closed till officials can find a way to stop golf balls from coming over the fence that separates the playground from the golf course at the country club.

Freeman said the school district is in regular communication with the country club.
