Rebels Basketball Teams Head To Regional Tournaments

Vestavia Hills High School's boys and girls basketball teams are headed to Jacksonville this week for the AHSAA Regional Tournaments.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — Vestavia's boys and girls basketball teams will head to Jacksonville this week to continue their quest for a state championship, as both teams advanced to the Northwest Regional tournaments.

Both teams will play Huntsville High School.

The girls team won the area tournament with a 71-55 win over Hewitt-Trussville, and the boys were defeated in the area tournament final by Spain Park.

Vestavia's girls team has posted a 27-2 regular season record and finished at no. 2 in the ASWA Class 7A poll behind Hoover.

The Vestavia Hills boys team came into the area tournament ranked no. 4 with a 23-3 record.
