School Board Approves Liberty Park Middle School Principal
The Vestavia Hills Board of Education Monday named a principal for Liberty Park Middle School.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — The Vestavia Hills City Schools board unanimously approved Roger Dobnikar to serve as principal for Liberty Park Middle School in the 2021-22 school year.
Dobnikar has been the interim principal at LPMS since August 2020.
Dobnikar is a familiar face to many Liberty Park families. He served as LPMS assistant principal from its opening in 2008 to 2020. He previously spent 14 years working as an English teacher at Louis Pizitz Middle School.

Dobnikar holds two bachelor’s degrees in English and specialized ministries from Mid-America Christian University in Oklahoma as well as master’s and educational specialist degrees from Samford University.
"Mr. Dobnikar has served as the interim principal at Liberty Park Middle School with a steady and consistent vision during this challenging school year," superintendent Todd Freeman said. "He is committed to providing the very best learning experiences for students and working alongside his team of exceptional educators."
