Tuscaloosa Teen Taken Into Custody After Storefront Crash
The boy had been driving a car that was reported stolen to Lakeview Police earlier in the day.

HOMEWOOD, AL — A 13-year-old boy who had been reported missing from Tuscaloosa County is now in custody after intentionally crashing a stolen vehicle into Homewood storefronts.
Officers responded late Sunday night to Wildwood Parkway where they found damage to Planet Fitness, Lowes, Country Inn and Suites and Sprint. The boy was taken into custody at the scene. No motive has been determined.
The boy had been driving a car that was reported stolen to Lakeview Police earlier in the day. Homewood police turned the boy over to Lakeview Police, who then transported him to the Tuscaloosa Juvenile Detention Center, though the boy will still face charges in Homewood.
