Vestavia Hills High School To Host Alabama Thespian Festival
The Alabama Thespian Festival returns to VHHS following the school's recent state championship at the Walter Trumbauer Festival.
VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — The Alabama Thespian Festival will return to Vestavia Hills High School, after the school's theater team took first place in the Walter Trumbauer Festival in the fall. The festival is set for Feb. 18 and 19, according to a Vestavia Voice report.
The festival brings together theater students from all over the country to attend workshops and take part in individual events and shows.
The VHHS theater department took home top honors last month from the Walter Trumbauer High School Theatre Festival in Troy, winning the top prize for its performance of "The Comedy of Errors."

Sophomore Colton Smith was named Best Leading Actor, senior Brantley Newsome was named Best Supporting Actor, and seniors Norah and Ryanne Trench were named to the All Star Cast.
Eleven other VHHS students also received individual awards for acting and pantomime; costume, makeup, and sound design; and stage management
