Vestavia Hills High School Rebels Travel To Face Mountain Brook Spartans

The Rebels will play the Spartans in a follow-up to what was one of the teams' most emotional games of the 2016 season.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — As Region 3 looks to solidify its playoff roster, two teams tied for one of those slots will face off in what is already a heated rivalry. The Rebels will head to Mountain Brook to play the Spartans in a follow-up to what was one of the teams' most emotional games of the 2016 season.

The last time the Spartans and the Rebels faced one another, the Rebels took a hard-earned win in double overtime 17-14 after evenly matched regulation play. The Rebels recently lost momentum on a three-game win streak after a loss to Thompson in week 7, 45-14. The Spartans will go into the game on a 31-7 win against Tuscaloosa County, though Vestavia has won the past two games in the series.
