Vestavia Hills Roadwork Rescheduled For Saturday

Roadwork that was meant to completed last Saturday and delayed by weather will be resumed this Saturday, Sept. 23.

VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — Roadwork that was meant to completed last Saturday and delayed by weather will be resumed this Saturday, Sept. 23.

Starting at 7 a.m., repairs will be completed at the intersection of Pumphouse Road and Dolly Ridge Road where asphalt has sunken in. Throughout the day, the center turn and westbound lane will be closed for short periods of time. Work is expected to be complete by 11 a.m.

One of the lanes on Morgan Drive, leading to Vestavia Hills High School, will close at 7 a.m and reopen by late Saturday evening. Because crews will be working near the street's edge, drivers should remain cautious as they drive past. The construction will not disrupt school traffic.
