Vestavia Hills, AL — We all know student athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.

They are my twin sons.

Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?

These two are the greatest boys! Just ask anyone! Heath is an amazing kid. He’s smart, dedicated to his sport and most importantly kind & respectful. He was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in May of 2020 his freshman year and a week later received the award for VHHS’s most consistent bowler. He’s a hard worker! Joe loves golf, his school and Vestavia Hills. He gets involved in everything and is currently serving as one of the chairs for RISE. His passion is getting everyone pumped up for games, which he’s darn good at. Just Google Moses at high school basketball game. Joe is a true Southern gentleman, bright and community minded. He is a future mayor!

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?

Heath is a great friend. He’s someone who would drop everything to help someone in a time of need. He has a big heart! Joe is energetic and passionate about his community. These two are the cream of the crop.
