Vestavia Zoning Commission Approves Liberty Park Easements
The Vestavia Hills Planning and Zoning Commission approved easement dedications and rezonings for residential lots and annexation.

VESTAVIA HILLA, AL - The Vestavia Hills Planning and Zoning Commission approved some rezoning proposals and easements in Liberty Park and Dolly Ridge Road.

According to a report by the Birmingham Business Journal, Liberty Park Joint Venture and High Noon LLC asked the commission to approve the dedication of easements and a private drive in Liberty Park. Without the easements, utility lines and others could not be installed on the roads, which are private property.

Also approved was the conditional rezoning of two new residential lots at 2424 and 2432 Dolly Ridge Rd. from Jefferson County E-2 to Vestavia Hills R-2. Thornton Construction Company Inc., which is building two homes on the properties, said the rezoning was necessary due to width requirements.
Several properties already approved for annexation were rezoned: 2401 Jannebo Road was rezoned from JCE-2 to VH R-1, 3332 Misty Lane from JCE-2 to VH R-1, and 2764 Altadena Lake from JCR-1 to VH R-2, as well as 2650 Gresham Drive from JCI-1 to VHI-1.
