Here are the top stories in Anchorage today:
- More than 534,000 Alaskans who applied for the Permanent Fund dividend online and requested direct deposit will begin receiving their dividends on Oct. 14, according to the Alaska Department of Revenue. This year’s dividend is $1,114, an amount approved by legislators and Gov. Mike Dunleavy in September. Alaskans can check the status of their PFD application at pfd.alaska.gov. (Anchorage Daily News)
- Part-time cake maker, see-through mask connoisseur, and Alaska State Senator Lora Reinbold came out today as yet another COVID positive Conservative. Surprising nobody, Sen. Reinbold says she’s obtained the anti-parasitic drug ivermectin, a drug that has become a topic of conversation over the past 24 hours in Anchorage. (Anchorage Press)
