Arizona Elections: Important Dates To Know
With just a week left to register to vote on Nov. 3, here are all of the important dates Arizona needs to know heading into the election.

ARIZONA — The 2020 elections are inching closer as Nov. 3 approaches, and Arizona has just a week left to register to vote.
If you still need to register or if you are planning to vote early, there are certain deadlines to keep in mind. Here are the important dates to keep in mind before the Nov. 3 election.
Voter Registration

The deadline to register to vote in Arizona is swiftly approaching on Oct. 5. You can register online in Pima County if your driver's license or identification card was issued on or after Oct. 1, 1996. You must live within Pima County at least 29 days prior to the general election to be eligible. The same restrictions apply for Maricopa County. Both counties also offer paper registration and ways to update existing voter registration if you wish to change party affiliation or have changed addresses since the last election.
Early Voting

Early voting in Arizona begins on Oct. 7 and will run until Oct. 30. You will need to show identification in order to vote in person. More information on polling place locations can be found on your local county recorder's website. Curbside drop-off will be available in Pima and Maricopa Counties. Hours will vary by location.
Vote By Mail
The last day to request a mail-in ballot is Oct. 23. In Arizona, any voter can request an absentee ballot without an excuse. All voters will receive an early ballot in the mail but in-person voting will also be an option Nov. 3. Ballots will need to be received by Election Day in order to be counted.
Election Day
Election Day is Nov. 3. Polling places will be open for in-person voting or for ballot drop-off. Polls will open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. You can still vote if you're in line after closing time. Some voters unable to make it to the polls will be given assistance through the Secretary of State's office either by telephone or videoconferencing.
