Vice President Pence To Visit Arizona

The Vice President will be meeting with groups in Tucson and Mesa on Tuesday before heading back to Washington, D.C.

ARIZONA — Vice President Mike Pence will touch down in the desert on Tuesday, making stops in Tucson and in Mesa before flying back to Washington, D.C.

Pence will meet with law enforcement and a coalition of President Donald Trump's supporters in the Valley.

Pence will accept the endorsement of the Arizona Association of Police in Tucson and making remarks about the Trump administration’s "continued support of the men and women serving in law enforcement and their unwavering commitment to never defund the police,” officials with the Office of the Vice President said in a statement ahead of the visit.

C-SPAN will be airing the "Cops For Trump" event live at 11:30 a.m. PST.

Later in the day, he will head to Mesa in east Phoenix for the rollout of the Latter-day Saints for Trump Coalition. No other details about the event were available.

The vice president was last in Phoenix on July 1 as Arizona experienced its peak numbers of the new coronavirus cases.
