GILBERT, AZ—Tri Pointe Homes, one of the largest homebuilders in the U.S., announced Wednesday that it has acquired 468 homesites in Gilbert, which will be part of the Waterston Central community.
When completed, Waterston Central will feature six gated neighborhoods on more than 137 acres. It will join the already high-demand neighborhoods in Waterston and Waterston North
According to Tri Pointe, Waterston Central will feature one-story and two-story homes that will range in size from approximately 1,800 square feet to 4,500 square feet. Homes will have between three to six bedrooms, two to four bathrooms and two-car to four-car bay garages.

The homes will range in width from 30-foot, 35-foot, 45-foot and 50-foot and offer four floor plans for each size. Though the 40-foot wide homes will have five floor plans.
Waterston Central will contain more than 43 acres of open space, and it is anticipated to include a lake, pool, large playground, a number of open-air ramadas and pocket parks.

Plus, residents of Waterston Central will have access to all of the approximately 480-acre planned community's amenities, including: Waterston North's centralized lake with great lawn, clubhouse and pool, pocket parks and walking trails within each of the new neighborhoods.
The community is part of the highly-rated Chandler Unified School District, and the new K-6 Robert Rice Elementary is conveniently located in the community with a direct connection via the walking trail that runs throughout Waterston.
Meanwhile, freeways 202 and 101 are in close proximity and residents will enjoy quick connections to employment areas, retail centers and recreational areas.
"From schools and parks to restaurants and entertainment, future homeowners will enjoy the quality and conveniences that are offered at Waterston Central and in the surrounding area," said James Atwood, Tri Pointe Homes Arizona's division president.
Atwood continued: "As both the developer and builder on the entire planned community, Tri Pointe Homes delivers quality from the initial land acquisition and planning to smart building practices and all the way through the homebuyer's journey."
According to Atwood, the Waterston planned community already has been an "outstanding development," with exciting designs and amenities, impressive sales performances and a great East Valley location.
"On that basis, one can see how Waterston Central is such a unique opportunity to develop more homes in a very desirable and supply-constrained location," Atwood said. "Tri Pointe Homes is committed to continuing to deliver high-quality product offerings, along with deluxe amenities and an outstanding community design, that makes a premium lifestyle possible for our customers."
