Tri-Pointe To Build 210 New Homes In the Phoenix Area

The first of the new homes to be built in Chandler and San Tan Valley are expected to begin going on the market in 2022.

PHOENIX, AZ — Tri Pointe Homes is set to build 210 new houses in Chandler and San Tan Valley, with initial sales expected to start in 2022.

Amid a historic housing crunch across the Valley and the nation, development is already underway at one San Tan Valley site and is set to begin yet this year in Chandler, according to a news release from the homebuilder.

Tri Pointe recently purchased the land for three communities of homes in Chandler and San Tan Valley with a "focus on areas with convenient access to major transportation and employment corridors, as well as educational centers and consumer attractions." The company paid a total of $24.5 million for the land.

The company bought 86 homesites in Chandler on nearly 26 acres that formerly served as a plant nursery. The new community will be called Treeland, and Tri Pointe plans to offer homes that range from 2,400-3,200 square feet with three to five bedrooms, according to the news release. Treeland is set to have nursery-inspired community gardens and green space, as well as easy access to the Ocotillo area. Tri Pointe plans to start development yet this year, with an anticipated opening of the community in 2023.

In San Tan Valley, Tri Pointe bought land for 52 homesites to create a new neighborhood in Oro Ridge. The single-family homes are expected to range from around 2,600-2,900 square feet with four bedrooms and up to three bathrooms. The community is near the San Tan Mountain Range, with plans for a trail system and pocket parks. Development of this community is already underway, and sales are expected to begin in 2022, according to the news release.

Tri Pointe Homes’ second land purchase in San Tan Valley is set to be the site of a new 72-home community that will be the second part of the master-planned community of Bella Vista Farms. This community, with single story homes of 2,700-3,100 square feet, four to five bedrooms and up to four bathrooms, is expected to open in 2023.

“Our goal is to always create healthy and sustainable communities, and land acquisition is the first step in that process,” said Tri Pointe Homes Arizona’s Division President James Attwood in the news release. “Such a finite and precious resource requires thoughtful planning so that the real estate is used in an environmentally responsible way and benefits both the lives and lifestyles of the homeowners. The new communities and neighborhoods to come from these three acquisitions in the Valley will reflect that.”
