- The Benton County Boys and Girls Club received a grant of $23,845 from K-MAC Enterprises, Inc., a local Taco Bell franchisee, that is headquartered in Fayetteville. This money will help support over 3,000 youth in the county as well as improve the current VR headsets that are used by the club. K-MAC Enterprises CEO Tina Reagan is very grateful to the franchise and is looking forward to what this donation can do for the Benton County Boys and Girls Club. (KNWA)
- Downtown Bentonville’s very own intimate coffee shop, Airship, takes visual inspiration from films of Wes Anderson. The current building was originally built in 1954 as a water treatment facility, but now it is home to a menu full of coffee, pastries, small meals, and soon rum cocktails and beer. The building also has a basement bike shop where cyclists can get mechanical work done if they have a blowout or any other issues. (Axios)
- On Tuesday, Jun. 27, The Bentonville City Council approved both federal and local grants which will help with the Thaden Field/Bentonville Municipal Airport enhancement project. One of the grants that will be included is from the Federal Aviation Administration for $140,000, and the other grant is $213,000 from the Walton Family Foundation. The project includes improvements that will consist of adding 600 feet to the taxiway. The project is expected to begin next summer with an estimated cost being $1.5 million. (Arkansas Online)
