- From Jul. 10-16, Bentonville will host the inaugural Honor Fest, a week-long event aimed at honoring and supporting veterans, military members, and first responders. The festival will feature interactive activities, guest speakers, and opportunities for workforce and entrepreneurship development. Attendees can partake in community service projects, enlistment ceremonies, the 21-mile Salute Ruck, and more; for registration and event details, head to visitbentonville.com. (Arkansas Online)
- In case you missed it, the City of Bentonville is still collecting items for its 150th Anniversary Time Capsule, to be sealed this September. According to city officials, submissions —including multiple U.S. coins printed in 2023 and a library card commemorating the city's 150th — have begun to roll in. - Benton County has been ranked the top county to live in Arkansas, according to recent data from 24/7 Wall St. The county has a poverty rate of just 8.1 percent, compared to the state average of 16 percent. - REMINDER: Effective Jul. 3, all unincorporated roads in Benton County that do not have a posted speed limit will have a limit of 40 miles per hour. The change is consistent with state code. (Benton County AR via Twitter)
