- In a recent internet predator sting, 28-year-old Fletcher Groseclos from Bentonville was arrested last week for the alleged internet stalking of a child. Formal charges have not been filed against him as of the time of publication. The investigation began in May when Groseclos initiated communication with an undercover Siloam Springs police detective, who was posing as a girl. During their conversation, Groseclos expressed intentions to meet and engage in sexual activity with the supposed child, as revealed in the probable cause affidavit. - Bentonville's Honor Fest, a week-long festival to get veterans involved in the community, kicks off today (Monday, Jul. 10). Events include a service project to beautify the Memorial Park Wall, a networking expo for first responders and veterans, and the 21-mile Salute Ruck at Osage Park. - The Benton County Election Commission is in the process of revising its precinct lines, aiming to achieve consistency across all elections within the county. These new boundary lines, established following the 2020 census, are expected to make voting more convenient. The official implementation of the revised precinct lines is scheduled for the coming weeks; as the area continues to grow, the commission says it will make further adjustments as necessary. (KNWA)

- The legal representative of a Bentonville preschool and its owner has responded to claims of negligence in a recent lawsuit. According to Haley Heath, who is representing Dina Ford and Wild About Learning Academy, the Jun. 27 claims contain "false and libelous allegations" that were largely made by a "disgruntled" ex-employee. - In nearby Carroll County, the Dam Site Lake Island swim beach on Beaver Lake has officially reopened. The beach shut down on Jun. 28, remaining closed through the Independence Day holiday, due to high E. coli levels. (KFSM 5Newsonline)
- Did you see the "Cozy Apple" sculpture in Orchards Park on Friday? The representative apple, created in celebration of Bentonville's 150th anniversary, will travel to various locations across the city through October. (Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette)
