Forest Service To Hold Women In Wildfire Training Camp In Northern California

SACRAMENTO — Women looking for a career change have a unique opportunity coming up as the U.S. Forest Service will be holding a wildfire training camp in Northern California. The goal is to attract more women to the profession.

The work can be grueling, hours are long and then there's the danger of fighting wildland fires.

Brenna Jones used to be a middle school teacher but needed a change.
