THOUSAND OAKS, CA — A 16-year-old girl was attacked by six large dogs living in her house, authorities said Sunday. The girl was sent to the hospital in "serious condition," according to the Ventura County Fire Department. The girl had "several significant lacerations and dog bites to her head, torso and arms," Ventura County Sheriff's Capt. Ron Chips told the Ventura County Star. The girl's mom was bitten as well, according to the VC Star. Authorities responded to the ongoing attack on the young girl in Thousand Oaks Sunday. The dogs, which were from the same residence as the girl, were secured by animal control, authorities said.
