Agoura Hills City Council, School Board Election: Filing Period Nears
Agoura Hills will elect three City Council seats and three school district board members come November 8.

AGOURA HILLS, CA — And they're off. Election season is just kicking off in Agoura Hills as the city prepares to elect three City Councilmembers on Nov. 8.
The filing period for the city council race begins Monday and will run through Aug. 12. During this period, candidates will need to submit their nomination documents and candidate statements.
Three council members have terms ending in 2022: Mayor Deborah Klein Lopez; Mayor Pro Tem Chris Anstead; and Councilmember Denis Weber.

Candidates must be at least 18 years old that is registered to vote and a resident of the city of Agoura Hills.
Agoura Hills residents will weigh in on a number of local elections affecting the city including three seats on the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District and Las Virgenes Unified School District. For the water district, Lynda Lo-Hill, Lee Renger and Jay Lewitt all have terms ending. Learn more about the water district board here.

New Agoura Hills voters will need to register to vote by Oct. 24 using this link. All registered voters will be automatically sent a mail-in ballot, and Los Angeles County will start mailing ballots on Oct. 10.
