LOS ANGELES, CA - Detailed assessment information about millions of parcels of real estate in Los Angeles County is available online thanks to a website introduced Monday by the county Assessor's Office.
"This online update will make accessing and interpreting assessment data much easier and faster for the public," Assessor Jeffrey Prang said. "It will continue significantly to my efforts to make transparency and accountability synonymous with my administration. By making information easier to find online, both assessor staff and members of the public will save time and resources that previously relied on phone calls and manual research."
The database, available at http://portal.assessor.lacounty.gov/, includes information on 2.4 million parcels. It includes 32 years of assessment data, according to the office.
