Free Water Recycling Facility Tour
Tour Joint Power Authority facilities not usually open to the public.

The Las Virgenes – Triunfo Joint Powers Authority (JPA) will conduct a free tour of its water recycling, wastewater treatment and composting facilities in February.
“We welcome area residents and encourage them to visit our facilities, said David W. Pedersen, General Manager for the JPA. "Customers can see first-hand how the water sent down the drain is converted into recycled water that benefits the environment, while reducing our dependence upon imported water.”

The morning-long tour will include an overview of the wastewater treatment process and some of the compliance measures required by state and federal regulators. A short bus trip will take visitors to JPA facilities not normally open to the public, including the Tapia Water Reclamation Facility and the Rancho Las Virgenes Composting Facility.
The facility tour is open to those 12 years of age or older; persons under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Boarding and exiting a bus, moderate walking and stairs should be expected by tour participants. A complimentary light lunch is provided to participants during the concluding question & answer session.
