The Hilton Foundation: Good Neighbors
The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation is scheduled to move into its new Agoura Hills headquarters in October. The following is their "Good Neighbor" policy.

The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation is a family foundation established in 1944 by hotelier, Conrad N. Hilton. In his last will and testament, Conrad Hilton stated that his foundation would help “relieve the suffering, the distressed and destitute," without regard to race, religion or country. Following this directive, the Foundation’s primary mission is to “improve the lives of disadvantaged and vulnerable people throughout the world.” The great majority of our funding is devoted to eleven priority areas, in the U.S. and around the world.
The Foundation is now in the process of building the , California to serve as its home. The site was selected for its beauty and the overall quality of life within Agoura and its environs. The Foundation is committed to enhancing these community qualities by both the type of campus it constructs and by serving as a good neighbor.
The site itself can serve as an educational resource where visitors can learn more about “building green,” the generation and use of renewable power, best practice uses of water and optimal use of native plant species in landscaping. The Foundation can also be a source of information and ideas by offering the expertise of its staff who can speak on a variety of topics at events sponsored or hosted by local non-profit organizations.

The Foundation will be bringing new professional jobs to the local community which will be a boost to the local economy. The Foundation also encourages its staff to engage in volunteerism and community service.
Consistent with our desire to establish and maintain a positive presence in the local community, we will be developing guidelines for our local philanthropic involvement once we have settled into our new offices. Until we identify funding opportunities that may be complementary to our given priorities, we are not in a position to consider unsolicited proposals.
