How To Catch The Agoura Hills Beach Bus

The Agoura Hills beach bus is up and running, helping residents catch an ocean breeze throughout the summer.

AGOURA HILLS, CA — Grab your towel and your sunscreen because the Agoura Hills beach bus is up and running, helping residents catch an ocean breeze throughout the hot Valley summer.

The bus started making trips on June 15 and will run through Aug. 19. Bus rides are $2 each for a one-way trip, and the city asks that riders bring exact change.

Busses depart from Lindero Canyon Middle School, Agoura High School and the intersection of Liberty Canyon and Agoura Road and land at Zuma Beach.

Here's where and when to catch a bus Monday through Friday, headed to Zuma Beach:

  • Lindero Canyon Middle School: 9 a.m.; 10:45 a.m.; 12:55 p.m.; 3:05 p.m.
  • Agoura High School: 9:10 a.m.; 10:55 a.m.; 1:05 p.m.; 3:15 p.m.
  • Liberty Canyon and Agoura Road: 9:20 a.m.; 11:05 a.m.; 1:15 p.m.; 3:25 p.m.

Here's when to grab the bus heading back from Zuma:

  • Lot #8: 11:55 a.m.; 2:05 p.m.; 4:05 p.m.; 5:55 p.m.

People of all ages are welcome on the beach bus, and surf boards can be stored with bags. Riders must carry a picture identification like a school ID or driver's license. Riders are advised to arrive at the pick-up location 5-10 minutes before the departure time. No smoking, eating or drinking is permitted on the bus.
