The Malibu Arts Festival, produced by the Malibu Chamber of Commerce, promises to offer something for everyone. Celebrating its 41th year, the two-day weekend event will take place July 28-29, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., in front of the Malibu Civic Center (23555 Civic Center Way, Malibu). The Optimist Club of Malibu will be serving a pancake breakfast at the site from 8 a.m. to 11 am.

The ultimate romantic story is being presented at the The Kingsmen Shakespeare Festival through the Kingsmen Shakespeare Company, the professional theater company of California Lutheran University. General admission is $15 for adults and free for those under 18. Festival grounds open at 5:30 p.m. for pre-show picnicking and entertainment. Film begins at dusk at 5800 Topanga Canyon Blvd in Woodland Hills. There will be pre-feature entertainment beginning at 7 p.m.
